ABOUT US AND SOME IDEAS ON HOW WE DO IT.All businesses are started with a vision of what they would like to do and become. The vision of Wisdom Marketing and Management Services is to provide businesses and individuals with a service that offers creative, affordable and easily manageable marketing and sales strategies. A cornerstone of the business is built on the fundamental premise that any assignment must start on the basis that money is the last resort to solve a company's challenges or new strategic development. Sounds strange coming from a marketing practitioner who has had some very large budgets to administer over a long life in sales and marketing. Yet it works - and works well. Peter Nicol operates Wisdom Marketing after a lifetime of experience in sales, marketing, publishing, economic development, media and government liaison. The company operates from Toowoomba Queensland Australia and provides efficient, professional and economic sales and marketing advice and strategies for clients in the region who are seeking innovative and practical solutions to increase, maintain or enter markets. Peter believes that when doing any diagnostic work on a company he wants to spend some quality time with the major players in the organisation, "Not long into the exercise one starts to hear the "USTAS," (used to do this or that) says Peter. "When a company needs marketing advice to strike out in a new direction or in extreme cases faces a serious lack of sales, then a visit to the past is not a bad exercise to see what they used to do when they were on track. Often there is a hidden culture of dropping off the little things that bit by bit show a lack of care to the customer and or the products, and yet go unnoticed by the managers or the owners, who have dropped these much-needed components out of the culture of the company. Often spawned by fatigue, management changes, boredom and market forces these "USTAS" cumulatively can strangle a good business. Once identified then remedies to poor sales or new product launches can be created once the management knows what the fundamentals are. Often these strategies require no more than adjustment to the existing culture and money is often not needed to get things back on track. I facilitate the thinking process and provide an outsiders perspective on what might be another way of doing things. I bring to the table over 35 years of different experiences in a vast array of industries both in Australia and over the world in the many countries where I have worked." Peter explained. His experience in working with many government agencies over the years has given him a good deal of insight into the assistance governments will give to business, he is emphatic when he said that. "It is very gratifying to see Australian companies in the region with internationally competitive products get on the world stage and moreover he able to break down the misconceptions that many of them have about the difficulty of obtaining government assistance for their enterprises. Governments want successful businesses in their electorates and there a number of excellent government agencies and employees in this region helping businesses grow:' "Advertising budgets can often he enhanced by working with suppliers. After 12 years in newspaper marketing management, I have been able to assist clients in working more collaboratively with their suppliers to optimise their marketing budgets. Newspapers call it 'Co-operative advertising' and using the same principles many of my clients are now enjoying increased sales due to their capacity to have more marketing budget options." His belief in this process is enthusiastic as he shows proof of this process working with numerous catalogues and brochures funded by collaboration with his clients and their suppliers. From large to small one person enterprises across a wide range of industries the Company has access to a wide range of practitioners who when needed can provide value added services to any project. Total transparency is a key element of any such interface. Clients should be aware of any relationship with other recommended providers. To not do so would betray the very integrity the Company promotes.
